So I just finished a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), mainly a Computer Programming camp.  And I decided that I really enjoy everything that has to do with coding.  So, I just signed myself up for a scripting class on Khan Academy,   Now, at the age that I’m at, I can’t exactly say- “OH! Thats what I’m gonna major in!” or “OH! Thats what I need to get a job in!”  So for now I’m just going to stick with classes, courses, and self teaching.  Totally random stuff there, but maybe you enjoyed it 🙂

Heres a link to Khan Academy, where if you like, you can do some basic programming.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Percy Jackson by Rick Riorden- an amawesome (amazing\awesome) book series about a kid who is half god\half mortal, with monsters, heroes, greek history, action, bully’s (usually monsters, but you know) and a little bit of romance. After I read these books, I actually knew who, say, Demeter is or Hera or Dionysus, or Hestia, or Kronos or- well, I could go on forever. Maybe good, maybe bad. Depending on who you ask.  I liked this series because it made me laugh all the time, and now I know a good amount about greek history.  This series has a little bit of everything and is a very great read!  But even if you’re not interested in fiction, in this book there is a lot of history, but not in a school-type way.  It was very fun to learn about greek history in the form Rick Riorden “teaches” it!  Anyway, the first book in the series is Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, so go check it out!

rating 5/5!

Thanks for listening to me ramble mindlessly about books I worship!

Harry Potter book review.

This is my first review, and I decided to do it on the world-wide hit, Harry Potter. First things first, I’ve read the series 3 times rounding here and there (I read the second one twice, the fifth one 4 times, etc.). And I worship J.K. Rowling. So let’s get started:
Review- the first book is my favorite book I’ve ever read. Period. It’s so filled with excitement and suspense! Book two- it’s the beginning of a long and treacherous journey. Book three- it’s the first time we see the REAL dark side of J.K.’s writing. Book four- is very suspenseful and also very amazing. Book 5- shows Harry’s really, really, really angry side. Book six- is the first “romantic” book. Book 7- is the end. And I want to cry. The one thing HP lacked was (thinking, thinking,) sorry- I can’t think of anything!
I really enjoyed J.K. Rowlings work- it is a true piece of priceless art.
I hope you enjoyed my first ever blog on Louisabelsreads!
